Thank you for visiting our web site! If I can take just few moments of your time, I would like to share about the ministries of the Alba United Methodist Church. It is located in the heart of the Lake Fork area. The membership of the Alba UMC is made up of both long term residents and those how have recently moved to the area. The congregation’s history can be traced to the early day of the city of Alba in the 1890’s. The current facilities were constructed in 1991, with the education wing added in 1995. In recent years the church has experienced significant growth as the Lake Fork region has grown. The church is seeking to reach out to the community with ministries that meet the needs of the people in the Lake Fork region.
The church has ministries for children and youth, along with fellowship and service ministries for both men and women. Our children and youth have opportunities to take part in our summer camping program and fellowship activities. Our women’s ministries have recently been working on providing necessities for area nursing homes through their sewing ministry. Our morning worship services seek to focus on helping people to come to know Jesus as their savior and living the Christian life in the contemporary world. We strongly believe in the phrase “come as you are”. We have no expectations that our guests conform to any dress code or doctoral statement to worship with us. We see the Christian life as a journey and we are all on the journey. None of us have all the answers nor are perfect.
